The business diagnosis goes a step further than the personal one. Merchant and supplier names are not generalised — they are not sent at all, because for a business that list is your list of counterparties. Your trade name is never sent either; it is kept on this device so you can tell the two spaces apart. Industry is a fixed keyword you pick from a list, never free text. What goes out is category totals, cash in and out by month, and the balance figures you entered yourself.
What is sent
Only figures your device has already computed: the months covered, the week of the month a payment fell in, the category, a generalised merchant name with branch and area removed, amounts and counts, whether something is recurring or fixed, and the period totals and monthly average. Transactions are grouped by merchant and month, never sent one by one.
What is never sent
The statement file itself, the raw transaction lines, your memos, account and card numbers, your name, email, phone number or address, the exact transaction date, the balance after each transaction, and any device identifier. There are no bank logins to send — this app never connects to a bank.
Who receives it
The data goes to our relay server, which checks your subscription against Apple's signature and then passes the figures to the OpenAI API to write the report. Those two are the only recipients. There are no analytics services, no advertising networks and no other third parties.
What is stored, and where
Our server does not store your figures, the request, the prompt or the finished report, and does not write them to its logs. All it keeps is a salted hash of your Apple transaction id and a monthly request counter — that cannot tell anyone what you spent. The finished report is saved only on this device.
When it happens
Only when you agree here and then tap the button to start a report yourself. Nothing runs on a schedule, nothing runs in the background, and nothing is sent while the app is closed. Importing statements, classifying, monthly summaries and backups never take this path.
Where this is not perfect
We strip branch and area names from merchant names before sending, but the rule cannot be perfect: rarely, an unusual place name may survive. We would rather say so than claim more than we can keep. The report is written to help you think, not as financial or tax advice.
Withdrawing stops new reports from being created. Reports already saved on this device are kept and stay readable. To remove those as well, use Delete data on this device in Settings.
