jamkankr@gmail.comCommon questions
- Do I need an account?
- No. There is no sign-up and no login. Open the app and analyze a statement.
- Where is my data stored?
- On your device only, and in two separate spaces: personal and business. Statements and transactions are never uploaded, so nobody else can see them. The one exception is the optional AI deep-dive: if you agree in that space and start one yourself, anonymised, aggregated figures are sent for analysis — never your statement file, account numbers or name, and for the business space never your trade name, suppliers or customers.
- I lost my phone. Can you restore my data?
- No — and that is by design, because we never had a copy. Only an encrypted backup that you exported yourself can be restored.
- A transaction was classified wrongly.
- Correct it in the results view; the app remembers your choice for that merchant. The app suggests, you decide.
- What does it cost?
- Everything you have been using is free and stays free. Only the AI reports are paid, and there are two monthly plans: personal analysis, and business analysis which includes the personal one as well. The App Store shows you the exact price in your currency before you confirm, and you can read complete example reports for both without paying anything.
- My statement file would not open.
- Password-protected files need their password, and scanned image PDFs have no text to read. Exporting the statement as Excel or CSV from your bank usually works best.
- Can I use it for my business?
- Yes. There is a separate business space with a monthly cash-flow table, a simplified balance sheet from figures you enter, and an AI management read for subscribers on the business plan. It is kept completely apart from your personal analysis. It is a management summary, not a tax filing or an accounting record, and it never collects transactions automatically — you import statements yourself.
- Do the personal and business spaces share anything?
- No. They are stored apart on your device, down to the storage level: separate transactions, rules, categories, report archives and separate AI consent. Agreeing in one space does not agree for the other, a report made in one never appears in the other's archive, and erasing one space leaves the other untouched. The only thing they share is one backup file, which restores each part back to its own space.
- Which plan do I need?
- If you only want reports on your own spending, the personal plan is enough. If you also want the business cash-flow read, choose the business plan — it includes everything in the personal plan, so you never pay for both. You can move up later from the subscription screen; Apple handles the price difference.
